Born in Pamplona (Spain), she began her musical studies at Pablo Sarasate's Conservatory. Thanks to a scholarship from Navarra’s Government and the Corporation of London, she extends her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where in 2000 she obtains the ‘Bachelor of Music’ diplome with honors and receives the ‘School Singing Prize’ as recognition of her academic achivement. In 2000 she met Richard Levitt, who has since been her singing coach. She frequently collaborates with several ensembles: L'Arpeggiata, El Concierto Español, Conductus Ensemble, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Al Ayre Español, La Tempestad, La Real Cámara, Hippocampus, Private Musicke, Gli Incogniti, Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, B'Rock, More Hispano, Armoniosi Concerti, etc. In 2003 she becomes a member of the vocal quartet La Colombina, and in the same year she starts, together with the theorbo player Jesús Fernández Baena, a duet specialized on the Italian music of the XVIIth Century. Since 2004 she is part of the group Orphénica Lyra, directed by José Miguel Moreno. She performs as soloist at many main festivals and concert-halls in Europe (Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Brussels, Utrecht, Prague, Bucharest, Vienna, Naples, Granada, London, etc), and makes her American debut in 2004 in Minneapolis (Sundin Hall). She has worked under the direction of William Christie, Fabio Biondi, Emilio Moreno, Jacques Ogg, Monica Huggett, Eduardo López Banzo, Richard Egarr, Christina Pluhar, Andoni Sierra, Ernest Martínez Izquierdo, Ottavio Dantone, Christian Curnyn, Pablo Heras, Sir Colin Davis, Jordi Casas, etc. She has made recordings for the French, Belgium, German, Swiss and Spanish radios, as well as for the labels Glossa, Verso, NB Musika, Zig-Zag Territoires, Accentus and K617. |
